So the Kiwanis Club gave you the brush-off, you’re maxed out on essay writing, or you just aren’t short enough for the Little People of America Scholarship. Or perhaps you already got a ton of scholarships and you still need more money because college is really frickin’ expensive.
Well, good news, friends. There are a ton of easy-to-enter scholarships online that just about anyone qualifies for. These contests are usually run by scholarship search engines or are sponsored by a company. Sometimes the prize is awarded in cash, other times the big payout comes in the form of gift cards or “points” to be used on the sponsoring website. What the contests have in common is that they’re easy.
In general, all you need to do is register online and you’re automatically entered to win. Sometimes you just need to provide an email address; other times they want to know a little more.
And even if you don’t win, they’ll totally still send you information about loans and joining the military for years to come! Yeah…so that’s probably the downside. But with a high tolerance for “special offers”, an email account you use for spam, and a little bit of luck, you could win some money.
We started the selection process for you by trying to weed out the ones that require too much effort or have that toxic combination of the word “cash” and exclamation points— like "Fill Out Surveys and Win Cash!" But you’re going to college, you’re smart—you know you’re probably not going to win a million dollars by clicking on an animated duck.
