Facebook friends become real-life business partners

Now based out of a sprawling house in San Clemente, Social Spin, as the company is called, grew the same way all Facebook networks do - through friends, friends of friends, and so on.
It aims to pitch social media marketing to companies that haven't yet realised the potential of networks like Blogger, Twitter and Facebook. In a way, it's entrepreneurs helping others like them get their message to market. Social Spin offers custom content, blogs and Facebook pages, creating and hosting businesses' websites for a small fee.
Of course, it wouldn't be Los Angeles without a television angle - and sure enough, Social Spin is the subject of a YouTube reality show which goes by the title of "Unstrapp'd."
Not every new business will get a reality show made about it - especially without a 7,000-square-foot [hyphen] house on the Orange County coast - but every young entrepreneur should pay attention to Social Spin's media-grabbing hustle. Publicity counts, after all.
