(I am Caucasian. Irish-German to be exact). I was surprised that: 1) "Kyra" is such a popular african-american name. It's actually an Irish name too! 2) That the employers would actually tell me this I guess you could look at the fact that my resume was pulled and I was called into the interviews in the first place as a good sign that these employers weren't being discriminatory. Btw, two of the jobs were for brokerage firms on the west coast and one was for a law firm in the South.
