Writing Guidelines

YOUNG MONEY is a daily online magazine
We are looking for articles about:

• Investing
• Budgeting
• Saving money
• Starting a business
• Finding a job
• College life
• Traveling on a budget
• We need articles that add value.

We are interested in feature stories that are of national interest to young people or college students and relate to one of the topics above. Stories should be entertaining and educational.

Emphasis

YOUNG MONEY emphasizes practical news and advice that readers can use, and looks for concrete information and perspective in all stories. Real examples and practical details should be included, as well as, practical impact and relevance.

Length of articles

300 to 700 words.

How to query

Interested writers should submit a query letter with relevant writing samples. Queries should include a synopsis of the proposed article. We also accept complete, unsolicited submissions. Contact Editor Cara Newman.

Payment

Payment for freelance submissions is $20 a story. Payment is upon publication only. Payment is made by Paypal. No kill fee will be offered.
